Message from Principal
My name is Kenn Gale and I am the Principal of No Borders International School. For over 20 years No Borders has been a leader in the educational industry in Nagoya, Japan. With more than 60 qualified and passionate teachers, I am confident that we can serve your family in Japan and provide you the highest quality education. First of all, we are not only an English school. What I mean by this is, we don’t only focus on teaching English. We are an International School that teaches an extremely broad and thorough curriculum. We have 5 locations to serve your family. We believe that education, especially at this age, is a very personal and important decision. We are here to help you, answer your questions and to see if No Borders is the right choice for your family. During your time with us, we will work closely together to ensure your child success. We communicate frequently and have events often with parents. Thank you for visiting our website and I am looking forward to talking to you personally and introducing you to our teachers and staff.

No Borders International School Philosoph

No Borders International School Philosoph
We believe the best way to ensure a successful, happy future is to be well educated with a balance of academic, social and emotional skills. We further believe the best way to develop these talents is starting from a young age. We believe, as educators, we should not only teach, but rather listen, inspire, motivate and develop our students. We believe in challenging our young learners to think critically and more importantly think for themselves. We also believe that English is a necessary attribute in the modern world. We are a community of teachers, parents, and students, who all believe the same way. We are No Borders.

Core Beliefs….
  • Our daily interactions with students are entirely in English. Students at No Borders are exposed to an entirely English environment.
  • While we teach to nursery aged students, we are not a nursery school. We operate and teach structured and content based classes.
  • We believe the students should be involved, engaged and entertained the entire time they are here.
  • We believe education involves the entire family, therefore we encourage community style involvement from our families.
  • We firmly believe in exposing the students to the world around us. We are partnered with National Geographic Learning and use their curriculum to expose the students to the world around us. With everything from field trips, to video calls with guest from around the world to our PASSPORT ADVENTURE club, we make sure students know about the awesome world we live in.
  • Finally, at this age our three foundational pillars are Education, Fun, and safety. By focusing on these elements the students are insured a happy, secure and educational environment their entire time at No Borders.

Preschool Philosophy

Preschool Philosophy
Preschool is where the journey with No Borders commences. Our educational philosophy is to develop not only cognitive skills, but also social skills. We begin to teach the art of self-sufficiency and free thinking. We believe in challenging the status quo of current preschool trends, and that through a structured schedule of well-balanced curriculum, we can see higher levels of learning from our preschoolers than average. And let’s not forget, this is preschool, so every day at No Borders is sure to be fun!

Kindergarten Philosophy

Kindergarten Philosophy
Kindergarten is a continuation of our preschool beliefs. With greater depth and content, as well as new pillars of education, we continue to develop our young learners. With increase in literacy content our students will begin to learn not only from the teachers but from each other. Interactive and thought-provoking classes are the foundation for our methodology. We believe in guided teaching and having the students experience the learning hands on. With a curriculum based on the inquiry method of learning, our staff is trained to ensure your child receives an education that can be used around the world.
